Friends, it’s finally here and I am so excited to share this post with you about The Big Fake Wedding! There’s so much to talk about, I could go on for days, so I’ll try my best to keep it brief. If you’re wondering what the Big Fake Wedding is all about and how I was invited to be a vendor, check out my previous post here.
Mike and Heidi are the sweetest most down to earth couple. They met at a coffee shop where she actually trained him! He went off to do research, and they realized that their lives were better with the other in it. They dated for a year and a half and Mike proposed in front of the coffeeshop where it all began. Six months later they were married in the woods of Northern Idaho with the most important people in their lives. 2 years later, they renewed their vows in the elegant Builders BLDG in front of 250 people! Quite the change in scenary!
The day began with hair and makeup, and we few photographers and videographer set out capturing all the beautiful details! The blue velvet couches in the Prime and provisions restaurant were absolutely perfect with the color palette of the event, which was Cyanotype. And that dress…I mean absolutely perfect! All the vendors did such a great job at supplying items that matched the color theme.
The day was a mix of capturing the wedding, and behind the scenes details for my new vendor friends. Heidi, Mike, and their wedding party were the most down to earth people and were a joy to work with! Each photographer was allotted 20 minutes to capture the couple and their wedding party, and that was an adventure!
It’s hard for me to pick out a favorite moment of the day. From working along side and connecting with so many amazing vendors, to meeting all the guests and amazing couples who stopped by my table in the tunnel of love, all these were part of an amazing experience. However, what really stood out to me was the real emotion and love between Heidi and Mark. When they were dancing, saying their vows, or just lost in the moment, the production of everything else around them seemed to fade away.
I want to give a huge thank you and shout out to some special people who helped me out during this event! First, to my amazing friend Katie Rose, who came after work to help me run my table in the Tunnel of Love. I couldn’t have done it without you! To Landrum and the Big Fake Wedding staff, thank you for selecting me, and for all of your hard work in putting this together! And thank you to all those, couples, friends of brides, mothers, wedding planners, and others who came out on a Thursday night to see us in action! I truly loved meeting everyone, and hope to connect with you again soon!
