This past fall I had the opportunity to partner with several amazing vendors and a beautiful couple to create a courthouse elopement styled shoot. We went downtown to the Cook County Courthouse, and had fun taking images with this adorable couple. Just a few weeks ago, So This Is Love, a wedding blog, published this styled shoot and you can view their post here.

I met Ashley Barber with Manifest Makeup at the Big Fake Wedding I did last summer (See the blog post from that here). We kept in touch, and she reached out to me about being the photographer for this courthouse elopement shoot. Her idea was a simple, chic, black and white theme elopement.

Our bride wore a chic skirt from the Tulle Project, and a top from BHLDN. Our groom wore a suit sans the jacket, a short sleeve dress shirt, and a bow tie from the Tie Bar.

Courthouse elopement sessions can be fun, simple, and stress free. Just grab your favorite vendors, your love, and enjoy a day that’s all about you!

This cake was made by the wonderful Dolly Boss of The Boss Bakehouse! IT WAS SOOO FREAKING DELICIOUS, and I’m not a big cake person.
